Hi friends! This will be my last contribution to as a
Design Team member for Wild Orchid Crafts. Unfortunately, things are too busy for me to craft
as much as I want to, so I have had to step down from all of the teams I
was on. When I do craft, you will continue to see me use my very
favorite embellishments from Wild Orchid Crafts since they have by far
the most wonderful selection to make our cards so special!!!
Don't forget the 10% off deal with Wild Orchid until June 5th!! What a bargain!!!!
I used the gorgeous Walnut Trellis Rose, Mahogany Trellis Rose, 2-Toned Brown Chrysanthemum, 25mm,15mm and 10mm Open Roses, and Tulips!!! I made the leaves myself with a MS punch and the left over stems from my WOC flowers. I used distress inks to color scrap watercolor paper and then punched those out, gave them a little crease fold and glued to the wire.
I used the very pretty Cerridwen from Saturated Canary and colored her with distress inks. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley, I LOVE THESE!!!!!!! It is called Vintage Labels - Occasions. The background stamp is also from LOTV and called Grunge Corners. I simply masked the image and stamped the Grunge Corners over it.
Now you see this STUNNING lace????? OMG!!! My gorgeous friend Linda HAND MADE it! Trust me I almost had to close my eyes to actually cut it!! Holy cow! Is she talented or what??? Also, check out the amazing pin in the flower cluster up top. She made that also!!! Thank you so very much Linda! What a treasured gift! Be sure to stop by her blog and say hello from me!! She is one super sweet lady!!!! Hugs Linda!!!!!
I know that I have stepped down from all of my design team positions, but I will still be posting occasionally. I have plans to visit you all more too. If you are like me the summers are crazy so I need a little time off.
Thank you so much for coming by today, it really means a lot!!!! Take care and I'll be around to your blogs soon!

Denise's Birthday Party Hop!
Welcome to Denise's birthday party hop!
If you've come here from Lori's blog, then you're on the right track.
If not, start at Iris's blog so you don't miss a thing!
Today (May 16th) we are celebrating the birthday of one of the best stamp company owners out there: Denise Lynn of Whimsy Stamps! To show our appreciation for Denise's kindness, the Whimsy family and previous guest designers are holding a birthday party blog hop using some of the amazing Whimsy Stamps products that we have grown to love. Thank you, Denise, for giving us the opportunity to represent a company with great products, wonderful customer service, and most of all, an owner who truly cares about its artists and designers. You are the best!To show some appreciation to the Whimsy customers for helping us celebrate Denise's birthday, we are giving away a $25 Gift Certificate to Whimsy Stamps store. Just hop along, leave a comment on the birthday blog posts by May 21, and a random winner from the comments left on participating blogs will be chosen to win the gift certificate. The winner will be posted on the Whimsy Stamps blog on May 22. For today's birthday hop I have used one of the Cottage Cuties by Elisabeth Bell called "Cinnamon Sugar" and she has been colored with distress inks. The sentiment is "Fanciful Birthdays - Notables 1". All of my flowers and lace are from Wild Orchid Crafts!
This hop is rather large, so here's the hop order in case you get lost:
Thanks for joining us today! Feel free to head over to Denise's blog to wish her a happy birthday :)

LOTV Mini Hop!
|
||
I got a good laugh at this one when I first saw it. Look at that cute pup being held over the food bowl hahaha!
I colored my image with distress ink refills and used paper from Hobby Lobby with the pirates all over. The flags were cut with my cricut as well as the letters. I used the Whimsy die cut - Notables 3 for the sentiment which was done on the computer.
Please have a visit at my teammates blogs and see what they did with "Walk The Plank". This is a great way to get ideas if you have already purchased this stamp or plan on purchasing it soon.
I also wanted to show you a picture of the completed pool project for our backyard. We love it and plan on having many swim days very soon. We went from this (the pool people marked out the pool with string):
To this:
Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you were inspired just a bit!
Big hugs, Dena

Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day to all of you who celebrate Mother's Day this month.
I have a card for you today that uses the sweet Best Dressed image! She is too adorable. I think she would be great for a Mother's Day card.
Card Ingredients:
Stamps: LOTV - Best Dressed and Dreamy Days Circular Sentiments
Inks: Distress Inks
Paper: MME - Dolled Up
Tools: EK Success Leaves Punch
Embellies: Sweetheart Blossoms, 10mm Open Roses, White Rose Buds and Aqua Curly Rose all from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I cut the small butterflies from the paper and added glitter here and there and sewed all the edges.
If you pick up a copy of the Cardmaking and Papercrafts Magazine you'll see this card and several more this month. I was super excited to contribute!
I have a few pictures to show you today also. As some of you know, Alyssa graduated this past weekend so here is a little photo of us right after she graduated. We are proud parents I tell ya.
